Professor for Methods of Comparative Political Research

University of Cologne, Cologne Center for Comparative Politics

I am doing research and giving courses on social science methods. Over the years, I got increasingly interested in matters of "meta research" and the question of how one can make empirical research more transparent, reproducible and replicable. Based on this interest, I integrated transparency and reproducibility in my research design course and my courses on qualitative methods and Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA). Last term, I taught a Master course on Open Science and Reproducibility using quantitative research on representation as an example.

I am impressed by the activities of Project TIER and the resources that are provided. I am looking forward to getting in contact with other network members and learn from their experiences and insights.
