Abstract
The final session of the fall symposium will be a discussion of potential strategies for fostering an interactive community of reproducibility educators--faculty and staff who share the goals of infusing transparency and reproducibility in their own courses, and promoting training in reproducible methods more broadly in the curricula of their programs and disciplines.
The discussion will be moderated by the organizers of the symposium: Flavio Azevedo (FORRT), Richard Ball (Project TIER), and Will Gawned (UKRN). They will briefly share some of their ideas about building a community for reproducibility education, but equally important they will be soliciting the views of participants in the webinar. The goal will be to generate ideas about practical steps for promoting and sustaining a culture of communication, collaboration, and mutual support among reproducibility educators.
There is no video to watch before this final session. However, since it is intended to be mostly an open discussion, participants are encouraged to reflect a bit before the event on how they might benefit from interactions with a community of reproducibility educators and about contributions they might make to benefit others.
To be sure people feel free to participate in the discussion without inhibition, this session will not be recorded.
